Functional preferences
The functional cookies sow_locale and sow_guest_locale remember your website language, while sow_market remembers the selected shopping market. They may remain for up to a year unless removed or changed. sow_market_auto is session storage used to avoid repeating automatic market selection.
Sign-in relies on browser storage managed by Supabase to maintain your session. Books and series saved as a guest are stored locally under sow.reader.guest.saved.v1. These are used for features you request, not advertising.
Analytics
We use Vercel Web Analytics and a self-hosted Umami instance at stats.shelfofworlds.com to understand visits and broad events such as retailer-link activity. The current integration is designed to operate without persistent analytics cookies.
If we add non-essential technologies requiring consent, they must not run before an effective prior choice with equally accessible acceptance and refusal. We review browser and provider behavior before introducing new features.
Retailers and external resources
Following a link to Amazon or another retailer may take you away from our domain. Those sites may use their own cookies under their policies. Some book-cover images load from external bibliographic services.
How to control storage
You can change language and market using Shelf of Worlds' controls. You can also clear site cookies and storage in your browser; this may sign you out and delete guest saves.
For questions write to social@shelfofworlds.com. We will update this policy if our tools change.
